Privacy Policy
Last updated 30 September 2026
This policy explains what information Dineto collects through Dineto (dineto.in), why, and what we do with it.
Restaurant owners and staff
When a business signs up we collect the owner's name, email address, mobile number and the business's name, address and location. For each staff member we keep their name, email address and a securely scrambled (hashed) password. We use this to run your account, sign you in, send you emails about your account and your payments, and support you.
Guests who order
When a guest orders from a restaurant's website, we store what they give the restaurant: their name, phone number, delivery address and location (for delivery), and their order. This information belongs to the restaurant, which uses it to prepare, deliver and bill the order, and may use it to contact the guest. We process it on the restaurant's behalf and do not sell it or use it for our own marketing.
Payments
Payments to us for plans are handled by our payment partners (for example Razorpay, or UPI apps). We do not see or store card numbers, UPI PINs or bank passwords. We keep a record of each payment: its amount, date and reference number.
Cookies and storage
The site stores small pieces of information in your browser, such as your sign-in and your cart, so it works as expected. We do not use advertising cookies.
Sharing
We share information only with the services that help us run Dineto (hosting, email delivery and payment processing), when the law requires it, or with your consent.
How long we keep it
We keep account and order information while the account is open, and delete it within 90 days after it is closed, except records the law requires us to keep (such as payment records).
Security
Passwords are stored hashed, connections use HTTPS, and access to data is limited to each restaurant's own staff. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information by writing to hello@dineto.in. Guests should contact the restaurant they ordered from first.
Changes
We may update this policy and will post the new version here with its date.
